After appearing in such popular TV series as Emergency-Ward 10, Crossroads, and Homicide, this Australian screen actor starred as Lawrence Hammill in the 1997 film The Castle and also played the leading role in the 2000 movie Innocence.
Before beginning his acting career, he served in the Royal Australian Air Force and won several military decorations, including an Italy Star and a Defense Medal. He appeared in his first film, Smithy, in 1946.
