His first professional match came against Wild Angus in 1980. He moved to England to join Joint Promotions in 1984.

Trivia

He passed away from cancer in February 2015 at age 59. To honor him, wrestler Paige wrote the words "RIP Drew McDonald" on her arms during an episode of Monday Night Raw.
