American journalist known for being the anchor and managing editor of the CBS Evening News. He is also known for his previous work on shows such as 60 Minutes, The Early Show, and CBS This Morning.Â
Before Fame
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University in 1997 with degrees in journalism and economics. He began his career reporting for WSTM-TV Syracuse in 2000. He went on to join CBS News in 2007 as co-anchor on the Saturday Early Show. In October of 2017, he was selected to be the new permanent anchor for the CBS Evening News.Â
