Versatile multi-instrumentalist best known as a member of the indie folk band Fleet Foxes. He joined the group in 2010 and would play bass, guitar, woodwinds, violin, percussion, and saxophone for the band. He is also one of the founding members of The Blood Brothers and a member of The Cave Singers.

He began his career in 1997 when he joined the post-hardcore band The Blood Brothers. He remained the band for a decade before they broke up.
