Cuban-American catcher who made his MLB debut with the San Diego Padres in 2012, then was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers prior to the 2015 season. In 2019, he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers.
He was originally drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 27th round of the 2007 MLB Draft but chose to attend the University of Miami instead of sign with the team. After a stellar career at Miami, he was selected 12th overall by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2010 MLB Draft.
